Topic: Network Positioning System and Cisco TrustSec Architecture

 

 Dr Xu is going to talk about two networking industry leading edge technologies: Networking Positioning System (NPS) and Cisco TrustSec Architecture. NPS maximizes end-user cloud experiences by incorporating network optimization into cloud computing. TrustSec is the enterprise networking security architecture which provides intelligent access control solution for enterprise network and data center. NPS and TrustSec are two of those building blocks which Cisco uses to form the best and secured networking solution in the Cloud Computing era.

 

 

Biography: Dr. Xu is currently an engineering director in Enterprise Routing Technology Group in Cisco Systems. He is with Cisco for 16 years and has been involved in architecture, design, and implementation of multiple generations of Cisco internet router products. His expertise areas are computer system, internet routing and switching, networking security, and cloud computing. Prior to Cisco, he was a computer scientist in USC/ISI Los Angela for two years. Hong received his Ph.D degree in computer science and M.S. degree in computer science from Michigan State University at 1994 and 1992 respectively.
