Jain wins 17th BBVA Frontiers of Knowledge Award in Information and Communication Technology
Dr. Anil Jain, MSU Distinguished Professor of Computer Science and Doug Zongker Endowed Professor, has been named the co-winner of the 17th BBVA Frontiers of Knowledge Award in Information and Communication Technology. He will share this award with Professor Michael Jordan of UC Berkeley.
This prestigious honor will be formally presented at the award ceremony in June 2025 in Bilbao, Spain.
The BBVA Foundation Frontiers of Knowledge Awards celebrate outstanding achievements in research and cultural creation, particularly contributions demonstrating exceptional originality and significant global impact. Previous awardees include luminaries such as Donald Knuth, Marvin Minsky, Stephen Cook, and Geoff Hinton—many of whom went on to receive the Turing Award.\
