Dr. Jiliang Tang has received SDM22 SIAM/IBM Early Career Research Award for Excellence in Data Analytics

Dr. Jiliang Tang, Associate Professor of Computer Science and Engineering, has received SDM22 SIAM/IBM Early Career Research Award for Excellence in Data Analytics. This award seeks to recognize one individual (no runner up/ honorable mention) who has made outstanding, influential, and lasting contributions in the field of data analysis and who will be within 10 years of having received their PhD degree as of the calendar year prior to the year of the award.

It should be noted that ACM KDD, IEEE ICDM, and SIAM SDM are top venues in the Data Mining and Data Analytics, and as far as I can tell, Dr. Tang is the first one who has received all three awards, namely, 2020 SIGKDD Rising Star, 2021 ICDM Tao Li Award, and 2022 SIAM/IBM Early Career Research Award.
