Abstract:

Large scale web-enabled systems underpin a variety of online social interactions. Therefore, it is critical to prevent abuse of such systems and ensure the integrity and privacy of user information. The complexity of modern large scale web applications, however, precludes manual identification of potential vulnerabilities. This proposal seeks to address this challenge, by automatically designing coevolving learning agents, i.e., either cooperative or competing, to automatically identify both system vulnerabilities and solutions to mitigate them.
