Weng receives award from General Motors Research and Development

John Weng has been awarded funding for the proposal "Object Classification in Sensor Fusion" by General Motors Research and Development. The project will enable better object classification in automobiles to improve driver and neighborhood safety. This step is an intermediate goal in developing fully autonomously driving urban vehicles, as called for by the DARPA Grand Challenge 2007.

This project runs from July 1, 2006 to June 31, 2007.
