Ofria and Owen receive Withrow Awards

Charles Ofria and Charles Owen received Withrow awards at the 26th Annual College of Engineering Awards Luncheon on March 17, 2016.

The John D. and Dortha J. Withrow Endowed Teacher / Scholar / Service Award Program recognizes faculty and staff who have demonstrated excellence in instructional and scholarly activities and rendered distinguished service to the university and the student body.

Charles Ofria received the 2016 Withrow Distinguished Scholar Award. This award is presented to a faculty member in the College of Engineering who demonstrates excellence in scholarship.

Charles Owen received the 2016 CSE Withrow Teaching Excellence Award. This award recognizes outstanding performance in instruction as well as student mentoring and supervision in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. Recipients are selected based on nominations from students.
