Khakpour and Liu receive best paper award at Int. Symposium on Reliable Distributed Systems (SRDS)

Amir R. Khakpour and Alex X. Liu received the Best Paper Award at the 31st International Symposium on Reliable Distributed Systems (SRDS), Irvine, California, October 2012. The paper is entitled "First Step Toward Cloud-Based Firewalling". This work is based on Amir R. Khakpour's Ph.D. research under the supervision of Alex X. Liu. Since 1981, SRDS is a premier conference on dependable computing. This conference has a single track for referred papers.

Amir R. Khakpour recently graduated with a Ph.D. degree from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Michigan State University. Alex X. Liu is an Associate Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at Michigan State University.
