Yoon, Feng and Jain Receive Best Biometrics Student Paper Award

Soweon Yoon, Jianjiang Feng and Anil Jain received the IAPR Best Biometrics Student Paper Award at the International Joint Conference on Biometrics, Washington D.C., Oct 11-13, 2011. The paper is entitled "Latent Fingerprint Enhancement via Robust Orientation Field Estimation".

Soweon Yoon is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Michigan State University. Jianjiang Feng was a postdoctoral researcher in the Pattern Recognition and Image Processing Laboratory (PRIP) at Michigan State University and is currently at the Department of Automation in Tsinghua University, China. Anil Jain is a University Distinguished Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Michigan State University.
