National Center for Women & Information Technology (NCWIT) awards MSU WIC Seed Fund Grant
The National Center for Women & information Technology (NCWIT) has selected Michigan State University's MSU Women In Computing (WIC) program to receive the Return Path Student Seed Fund grant. One Saturday in the fall and spring semesters, MSU WIC invites local-area girl scouts and their troop leaders to spend a day learning about the fun and importance of computing. Participants are able to create webpages using HTML and also learn programming basics with Scratch. Funding from NCWIT and Return Path will allow MSU WIC to broaden the appeal of the workshops this year by offering a new activity creating E-textiles.For information about MSU WIC, see http://www.cse.msu.edu/msuwic/
