Vandy Johnson receives CSE Distinguished Alumni Award

Mr. Vandy Johnson received the 2010 Computer Science and Engineering Distinguished Alumni award at the annual College of Engineering Alumni Awards Banquet on Saturday, May 8, 2010.

The Computer Science and Engineering Distinguished Alumni Award recognizes a CSE alumna or alumnus who has distinguished herself/himself as a leader through professional contributions, public service, and personal accomplishments.

Mr. Johnson has made significant contributions as vice president of global IT infrastructure operations and support at Medtronic, a leader in medical technology, based in Plymouth, Minnesota. Prior to his role at Medtronic, he was at General Mills, where he held numerous roles of increasing responsibility, most recently as the senior director of information systems operations.
