Ofria and Tan receive Withrow awards

Charles Ofria and Pang-Ning Tan, received Withrow awards at the 20th Annual College of Engineering Awards Luncheon on March 25, 2010.

The John D. and Dortha J. Withrow Endowed Teacher / Scholar / Service Award Program recognizes faculty and staff who have demonstrated excellence in instructional and scholarly activities and rendered distinguished service to the university and the student body.

Charles Ofria received the 2010 CSE Withrow Teaching Excellence Award. This award recognizes outstanding performance in instruction as well as student mentoring and supervision in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. Recipients are selected based on nominations from students.

Pang-Ning Tan received the Withrow Distinguished Scholar Junior Award. This award is presented to a faculty member in the College of Engineering who demonstrates excellence in scholarship.
