Ramirez, Cheng, Knoester, and McKinley receive best paper award
Andres Ramirez, Betty Cheng, David Knoester, and Philip McKinley received the award for best paper at the 6th IEEE International Conference on Autonomic Computing (ICAC '09), held in Barcelona, Spain, June 2009.
Their paper was titled "Applying Genetic Algorithms to Decision Making in Autonomic Computing Systems."
The award is presented for the best paper whose first author is a student. The MSU paper was one of three finalists, with the final decision based on the presentation of the paper at the conference. PhD student Andres Ramirez gave the presentation.
ICAC is the premier conference for autonomic computing, with an overall acceptance rate of 15%.
