Brown, Jin, and Stockman receive Withrow awards


Titus Brown, Rong Jin, and George Stockman received Withrow awards at the Nineteenth Annual College of Engineering Awards Luncheon on March 26, 2009.

The John D. and Dortha J. Withrow Endowed Teacher / Scholar / Service Award Program recognizes faculty and staff who have demonstrated excellence in instructional and scholarly activities and rendered distinguished service to the university and the student body.

C. Titus Brown received the 2009 Withrow Teaching Excellence Award. This award recognizes outstanding performance in instruction as well as student mentoring and supervision in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. Recipients are selected based on nominations from students.


Rong Jin

Rong Jin


Rong Jin received the Withrow Distinguished Scholar Junior Award. This award is presented to a faculty member in the College of Engineering who demonstrates excellence in scholarship.


George Stockman

George Stockman


George C. Stockman received the Withrow Exceptional Service Award for outstanding institutional, public, and community service.
