LaRose, Rifon, and Enbody present framework for Internet safety

Online safety is everyone’s responsibility—a concept much easier to preach than to practice. Robert LaRose, Nora J. Rifon, and Richard Enbody explore why in an article titled "Promoting Personal Responsibility for Internet Safety."

The article is featured in the flagship publication Communications of the ACM, which is read by over 85,000 computing researchers and practitioners worldwide. The authors present a framework to motivate safe online behavior that interprets prior research and use it to evaluate some of the current nonprofit online safety education efforts.
