Upgrades interrupt MSU e-mail

On Wednesday, March 5, 2008 (during Spring break) Academic Computing & Network Services (ACNS) will implement another phase in a series of improvements to electrical power in the Computer Center.

CSE facilities and services will not be affected by these upgrades.

There will be brief interruptions to mail.msu.edu and NetID services in the morning and evening as the second floor Datacenter switches to generator power.

All other online services provided by ACNS will remain online, including the campus network and Internet connections. Power in the Computer Center proper will be offline, and the building will be closed.

The upgrade will begin at 6:00 a.m. and is scheduled to be completed by 6:30 p.m.
