Chen awarded NIJ Graduate Research Fellowship

PhD student Yi Chen received the 2007 National Institute of Justice (NIJ) Graduate Research Fellowship to support research for her dissertation "Automatic Fingerprint Recognition Using Extended Feature Set", under the supervision of University Distinguished Professor Anil K. Jain.

The Graduate Research Fellowship is an annual NIJ program that provides dissertation research support to outstanding doctoral students undertaking original research that has direct implications for criminal justice in the United States. Selection criteria include quality and technical merit, project impact, and capabilities of the applicant.
