Mutka appointed Acting Chairperson

Matt Mutka has been appointed Acting Chairperson of the Computer Science and Engineering Department. The appointment is initially for one year.

Dr. Mutka served briefly in the past as the Interim Chairperson of the Department in 1999. He joined MSU in 1989 after graduating from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1988 and spending a year in the University of Helsinki as a Visiting Scholar. Professor Mutka's research interests include the design and performance evaluation of resource management strategies for computer networks and distributed systems. He is very active professionally and brings a record of excellence in research and teaching to the position.
