Bess Walker receives NSF Graduate Research Fellowship

Bess Walker has been selected to receive a National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research Fellowship award. Walker is in her first year of graduate study. She is pursuing a PhD degree under the direction of Charles Ofria.

The NSF Graduate Research Fellowship provides three years of support for graduate study leading to research-based master's or doctoral degrees and is intended for students who are at the early stages of their graduate study. Applications were reviewed according to the NSF Merit Review Criteria of Intellectual Merit and Broader Impacts. Approximately 1000 awards are expected to be made nationwide from this year's competition.
